Abstract

Objective To develop a novel and rapid method with ultra-performance liquid chromatography for the simultaneous determination of four saponins in compound Salvia tablets. Methods An acquity UPLC BEH C18( 2.1 mm×50 mm,1.7 μm) was used. Acetonitrile and water were adopted with gradient elution of0. 5 m L / min,and the detection wavelength was 203 nm. The column temperature was 30 ℃. Results Notoginsenoside R1 and ginsenoside Rg1,Re and Rb1 in compound Salvia tablets had good linearity. And the average recoveries were among 98. 9%- 102. 2%( n = 6). Conclusion The relative deviation of the content was 0.01% when UPLC and HPLC was used to determine the same sample. UPLC could greatly improve the separation efficiency and reduce the solvent consumption. As an alternative of conventional HPLC,UPLC is more convenient, rapid and feasible.
