Abstract
Objective: To investigate the law and significances of change of interleukin-15(IL-15) in serum from patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods:The serum levels of IL-15 in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) were measured by ELISA.Results:Concentrations of serum IL-15 in patients with different type of viral hepatitis were significantly higher than that in normal group(P0.01).The level of IL-15 in patients with severe hepatitis was the highest among those groups.According to the value of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),the serum IL-15 levels in the highest group were higher than that in other groups. The difference of the serum IL-15 levels was not significant between every two groups which were divided into on the concentration of HBV DNA.Conclusion:It is possible that IL-15 plays a role in liver inflammatory injury process. The detection of level of serum IL-15 is helpful to determination of the disease in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
