Abstract
Aim To isolate and elucidate iridoid compounds in the buds of Lonicera ruprechtiana Regel. Methods Solvent extraction and column chromatography were used to isolate iridoid compounds.Physico-chemical constants and spectroscopic analysis were employed for the structural elucidation. Results Six iridoid compounds were isolated, and four of them were elucidated as 7S-O-methylmorroniside(1),loganin(2),secologanic acid(3),6'-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl sweroside(4).Conclusion Compounds 1-4 are isolated from the buds of Lonicera ruprechtiana Regel.for the first time.
