Abstract

Objective:To observe the characteristic of concentration change of serum neuron specific enolase(NSE)in neonates with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)in24,48hours after birth.Methods:62neonates wit HIE were selected from neonate ward of our hospital,in which light, middle and severe grade were20,24,18respectively.20neonates of full term normal delivery selected from midwifery cases were served as control group synchronously. All the neonates in24,48hours after their birth were taken blood1ml out of the vena for determination of the level of NSE by radiommunoassay(RIA).Results:In24,48hours after birth, there was no significant difference in the concentration of serum NSE between light grade and control group, the concentration of serum NSE in the middle grade and severe grade group was significant rise comˉparing to the control group(P0.001),but no obvious difference was found between middle grade and severe grade group. Conclusion:It is conducive to and early diagnosis of middle grade and severe grade HIE to detect the concentration of serum NSE.
