Risperidone and low dose Clozapine combination for the treament of male refractory schizophrenia

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the curative effect and side effect of Risperidone and low dose Clozapine combination for the treament of male refractory schizophrenia,to provide the basis for clinical medication.METHODS The male refractory schizophrenia number of 40 was random to separate the group of study and the control group,the male refractory schizophrenia number of 21 was treated by Risperidone and low dose Clozapine,the male refractory Schizophrenia number of 19 was treated by Clozapine alone.The curative effect and side effect was differently observed by BPRS and TESS.RESULTS The BPRS total scores of the study group were obviously lower than the control group at the end of the eight-week treatment,especially at the end of four,week treatment.The tess total scores between two groups had no significant difference(P0.05).CONCLUSION The combination of Risperidone and low dose Clozapine produced a shortening of the treatment response latency,and the curative effect is relibal.
