Research on the Relationship between Self-confidence and Achievement Motivation of Higher Vocational School Students

The investigation results showed that, in the terms of general physical and self-confidence,male higher vocational school students had significantly higher scores than female students. The relationship of higher vocational school students’ self-confidence with achievement motivation were remarkable. Notable positive correlations were found in dimensions of self-confidence with motives of seeking success,and significant negative correlations were found in dimensions of self-confidence with motives of avoiding defeat. Physical,general and school confidence had significant predication and influence on higher vocational school students’motives of seeking success,but physical and social confidence had significant influence on students’ motives of avoiding defeat.
