The essence of the university governance structure lies in the allocation of power and its operation.For China,the relationship between government and university plays a key role in university's external governance.More autonomy should be given to universities in order to ensure their sound development.As to university's internal governance,the division and coordination among institutions is the key factor.In practice,it is imperative to define the scope of power for university's Party Committee and President through institutional development.
