Abstract

Objective To discuss the relationship of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and lip-id and carotid intima-medial thickness and confirm the effect of them in carotid atherosclerosis and ischemic stroke coming on. Methods 57 cases of ischemic stroke were selected randomly. Intima-medial thickness of carotid artery were performed by the duplex ultrasonogtaphy. Limosis hs-CRP、sugar、TG、CHO、HDL-C and LDL-C were determined. Results hs-CRP were correlative with both IMT obviously. The correlative coefficient were 0.4274 and 0.4304 respectively (P 0. 01) ; Cho and LDL-C were correlative positively with both IMT(r= 0.3024,0. 3273 ;0. 3219,0. 3379, P 0.05). Conclusion hs-CRP may participate in form of carotid atherosclerosis. There are definite clinical significance of examining hs-CRP and lipid to prevent ischemic stroke due to carotid atherosclerosis.
