Research on the dyeing behaviour of wool fabric with natural dyestuff from chestnut shell

In this paper,an analysis made of the properties of natural dyestuff from chestnut shell and dyeing experiments were conducted on wool fabric with it.Orthogonal experiments were performed through selecting condition of dyeing temperature,dyestuff solution,pH valuae of bath and NaCl solution.Through determining the relative parameters,the best dyeing condition was selected.At the same time,the color fastness was tested.The research results show that the dye solution is stable in boiling water,whereas its stability to acid and alkali is weaker.The optimized dyeing procedure of natural dyestuff from chestnut shell is dyeing temperature 100℃,the dye solution X,pH value 5,the NaCl solution 9.3 g/L.The dry,wet rubbing fastness and washing color staining fastness of fabrics are perfect.
