Abstract
6 pigeons from a pigeon farm in Shanghai were diagnosed by laboratory methods, including: clinical diagnosis;bacterial isolation;NDV fluorescence RT-PCR detection;SPF chicken embryo isolation and identification. The HA and HI tests indicated that the isolated strain was NDV.The 50% embryo infectious dose(EID50) and intracerabral pathogenicity index(ICPI) of SPF chicken embryo allantoid liquid were 107.63 and 1.19,respectively.According to the clinical symptom,EID50,ICPI,the isolated pigeon NDV is a low virulent strain.
