Coordinating urban and rural development and accelerating harmonious society construction

This paper analyzes the current status of imbalance in economic and social development between urban and rural areas,and explains the importance of coordinating urban and rural development.It proves that the urban and rural coordinated development is the need of keeping a stable and harmonious society,ensuring the harmony between human beings and nature,and accelerating the sustainable development of economy.Finally,it points out that coordinating urban and rural development is a complicated systematic project,which firstly needs a comprehensive reform of the system causing discordance between urban and rural areas,needs giving farmers the unified treatment enjoyed by every average citizen,including the distinguishment between fair treatment and supporting agriculture,meanwhile needs government's leading,interaction between urban and rural areas,as well as participation of social organizations.
