Selection and Application of a Maize Hybrid Danyu501 (Dan 5151)

Danyu501 is a single cross maize hybrid which was bred in Dandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences by crossing Dan717 as female parent and Dan765 as male parent.It showed from the result of regional test in Liaoning province from 2005 to 2006 that Danyu501 can increase 6.4% grain yield more than the hybrids using in production and has the character of wide adaptation,resistance to many diseases,lodging and drought,and has yield fertility and stability,medium maturity,good quality.Danyu501 is a good hybrid that can be planted for large area in northern spring maize plantanting area.
