Abstract
Objective To analyze and evaluate the clinical effect and side effect of moxifloxacin in the treatment of senile patients with stroke associated pneumonia. Methods 71 elderly patients with stroke associated pneumonia were randomly divided into the observation group(n = 37) and the control group(n = 34).The observation group was treated with 400mg of moxifloxacin intravenous infusion, and the control group was treated with 1000mg of intravenous infusion ceftazidime. One period of treatment was 7 ~ 10 days. The clinical efficacy and side effect were compared between the two groups. Results After the treatment, the effective rate was 89.19% in the observation group and 73.53% in the control group respectively(χ2 = 4.163,P 0.05).The rate of bacterial clearance was 93.33% in the observation group and 73.33% in the control group with significant difference(χ2 = 4.191,P 0.05).Conclusion The application of moxifloxacin in the treatment of senile patients with stroke associated pneumonia is safe and effective, with high bacterial clearance rate.
