Abstract

To evaluate the adjunctive use of mitomycin C (MMC)in the trabeculectomy,Methods We retrospectively analyzed 64 cases with galucoma used MMC intraoperatively (0. 3ml, 5minutes ). Allof the cases were followed up 1 year. Results The IOP was got under control postoperatively,Common complications were rare, except thatprogressive lens opacification was found in 11 eyes (17%). Conclusion The use of MMC effectively lowere the IOP in eyes with trabeculectomy,but the complications should be given attention .
