Abstract
The contents of Fe,Zn,Cu,Mn,Mg,Ca and Na in capsicum were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry(FAAS) with treatment of samples by dry ashing method. The contents of several elements in capsicum were respectively(Fe)176.0,(Zn)26.8,(Cu)47.2,(Mn) 36.1,(Mg)1646.7,(Ca)163.5,(Na)1022.4(Unit:μg/g),and RSDs were between 0.3%and 3.8%.The contents of elements in capsicum skin and seeds were also determined. The recoveries were in the range 95.0%-108.1%.FAAS can be applied to the simple and accurate determination of the trace elements in capsicum.
