Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the status quo and the rationality of the utilization of antibiotics in our hospital for references of clinical rational drug use.METHODS:A total of 640 cases histories of patients who discharged from our hospital between Aug.and Sept.in 2009 were retrospectively reviewed with regard to the utilization of antibiotics, meanwhile, the rationality of antibiotic use in 292 cases who used antibiotics were evaluated.RESULTS: The utilization of antibiotics in our hospital was irrational, which manifested chiefly as lack of pathogenic examination, prolonged perioperative medication of antibiotics, and high starting point in perioperative medication and so on.CONCLUSION: The irrational utilization of antibiotics in our hospital remains to be improved, and measures should be taken to tighten control on the use of antibiotics to improve the level of rational drug use.
