The effects of Xinyuqingre capsules on proliferation and apoptosis of prostatic fibroblasts of rats

Objective To investigate the effect of Xinyuqingre capsules on proliferation and apoptosis of prostatic fibroblasts of rats.Methods Serum containing active ingredients of Xinyuqingre capsules was applied to the 3 rd～6 th generation of prostatic fibroblasts of healthy rats.The optical absorbance was determined with ELISA at the wavelength of 490 nm and the relative inhibition ratio was calculated.The effects of Xinyuqingre capsules on the apoptosis index of prostatic fibroblasts were determined by flow cytometer.Results Xinyuqingre capsules could inhibit the proliferation of prostatic fibroblasts of rats,flow cytometric analysis demonstrated that the serum containing active ingredients of Xinyuqingre capsules could increase the apoptosis rate of prostatic fibroblasts of rats.Conclusion The mechanism of Xinyuqingre method to treat chronic prostatitis was related to the inhibition of the proliferation and increasing of apoptosis rate of prostatic fibroblasts.
