Effects of Chinese Herbs with Functions of Removing Blood Stasis and Channel Obstruction on Expression of CTGF Protein in Renal Tissues of Rats with Renal Failure

Objective: To Analysis of CTGF's protein in rats' remnant kidney of 5/6 nephrectomy induced chronic renal failure(CRF) with treatment of traditional Chinese medicine of disperse blood stasis and dredge collateral——Shen Luo Tong by Western Blot.Method: The CRF model of rat made through 5/6 nephrectomy.The rats were divided into four groups including Sham group,Model group,Shen Luo Tong group and Valsartan group.After 16-week intragastric administration,the expression of CTGF's protein in nephridial tissue was detected by Western Blot.Results: Compare with Sham group,the expression of CTGF's protein of Model group was increased obviously;While compare with Model group,the expression of CTGF's protein of Shen Luo Tong and Valsartan group was decreased obviously.Conclusion: Shen Luo Tong maybe play an great role in delaying the proceeding of CRF by down-regulation the expression of CTGF's protein.It indicated that study of down-regulation the expression of CTGF with treatment of different traditional Chinese medicine compound recipe will provide new methods for the prevention and cure of renal fibrosis.
