Abstract
Clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were cultured in a Luria-Bertani medium-sputum collection system to encourage biofilm formation.Biofilms were observed with AgNO3 staining. After the biofilm was treated with baicalin, the viable bacterial count was determined by serial dilution.MICs were measured by doubling dilution. The P.aeruginosa biofilm was inhibited and disrupted by 15.65 mg/L of baicalin.Baicalin had potent activity against P.aeruginosa biofilms.
