Abstract
In a study with chicks, metabolizable energy determinations were conducted on samples of anchovy (Engraulis ringens J.) meal, defatted anchovy meal, semirefined anchovy oil, and hydrogenated anchovy oil. The averages were on a dry matter basis, 3.40, 2.93, 8.55, and 8.25 kcal/g, respectively.
