Abstract
Cost effectiveness is an important factor that must be considered in the design and construction of any prototype equipment for utilisation in a business venture. In fact, it will be highly unprofitable if the cost of producing such equipment is beyond the affordability of the minimum class of people who would want to invest. It is, therefore, noteworthy that cost effectiveness in design and construction is a function of the availability of the needed raw materials, in the sense that they can be obtained locally within the vicinity of the investor. If the components required for the fabrication of an equipment are to be imported from abroad, it might cost almost a fortune to realise such objectives. This does not suggest, however, that all bits and pieces of such materials can be picked around, otherwise people would go into the production of equipment that may not be durable enough for continual utilisation in the production of the intended products as improvisation sometimes results in the use of inferior materials.
