Abstract
Persistence of wettable powder formulations of endosulfan and chlorpyrifos and emulsifiable concentrate of chlorpyrifos was studied on apple following two sprays. Residues were analysed by gas chromatography using electron capture detector. While endosulfan persisted for 10 d after the last spray application, chlorpyrifos was less persistent. All the insecticides gave significant control of defoliating beetles.
