District Nursing Service Largest in State

Nursing Service Largest in State details the District Nursing Service that is run by Gosford District Hospital as being the largest in SW (outside Metropolitan Area) with a total of 19,743 calls being made in 1963-64 year. This figure was brought up by R. Mathews ( Chairman of Board) at the annual Board Meeting. Six nurses cover the Central Coast and praised the fund-raising support of the program. Also addressed in the meeting was a need to extend with an increase of in-patients. At the end of the financial year, there was a deficient of ₤104. For the 18th year, all candidates passed the Nursing Graduation with no failures. Graduating were K. J. Beavan, K. M. Pryor, F. Longley, R. V. Brunton, K. J. Gambley, P. Campbell and P.A. Murdoch. of Service, Three ex-directors of Gosford District Hospital were awarded with Certificates of Service with a combined 64 years of service between them. Mr R. G. Matthews presented to Mr J.
