Abstract
All the tested insecticides and a neem bio-pesticide were found to be statistically superior over the control. The maximum population reduction was recorded in oxydemeton-methyl 25 EC @ 0.05g a.i. ha−1 treated plots and provided maximum seed yield. Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 20g a.i. ha−1 also proved profitable as per the maximum cost benefit ratio of 1:38.27.
