Abstract
The application of endosulfan @ 0.07% alone in two sprays against mustard aphid, Lipaphis erysimi (Kalt.) in mustard crop was found most effective in comparison to two releases of Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) @ 10,000 larvae/ha/release; one release of C. carnea plus one application of endosulfan @ 0.07% and control. The highest benefit was obtained from the treatment of endosulfan @ 0.07% alone (1: 2.80) in comparison to other treatments. The very high cost of the predator, C. carnea and its higher doses increased the cost of the plant protection and thus reduced the benefit.
