Abstract

An irradiation unit with a 10-c Co/sup 60/ source is described. Design and operation of the unit are emphasized. Dosage rate and dosage distribution in the irradiation volume were determined by the Fricke dosimeter and by means of glass dosimeters. The maximum dosage rate in the irradiation volume of 40 ml is greater than lO/sup 6/ day. (auth)
