Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical distribution and drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and provide the scientific evidence for clinical diagnosis and treatment.METHODS P.aeruginosa isolated from clinical samples from 2007 to 2009 were identified and antimicrobial susceptibility was tested by VITEK-32 microbiology analysis system. The results were analyzed by WHONET5.3 software.RESULTS A total of 1338 strains of P.aeruginosa were mainly isolated from sputum, urine and swab.Drug resistant rates of ampicillin, cephazolin, cefotaxime, cefuroxime sodium were more than 50.0%.P.aeruginosa was more sensitive to amikacin, gentamicin, imipenem and meropenem.Nevertheless the resistant rates increased year by year.CONCLUSION The detected rate of P.aeruginosa strains presents an increasing trend.P.aeruginosa strains are mainly multi-drug resistant.Rational application of antibiotics is important for the containment of the drug resistance of P.aeruginosa.
