Abstract

The efficacy of insecticides and bio-agents against cutworm were compared in a field experiment. Carbofuran was most effective in reducing the plant damage caused by the pest for a long period and gave more number of marketable tubers and healthier tuber yield as well. Out of the bio-agents, Metarrhizium anisopliae was most effective against cutworm, but not at par with chemical insecticides.
