Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of intensive blood glucose control on quality of life (QOL) and blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Methods: 120 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was given standard glucose treatment accordance with the Guide to Diabetes Control, the treatment group was given intensive blood glucose treatment. The patients of two groups before and after follow-up after 3 years were observed QOL and blood glucose. Results: After treatment, the dimensions of QOL scores and total scores of the treatment group were significantly decreased ,(P 0.05), before and aftertreatment the dimensions of QOL scores and total scores of the control group were no statistically significant ( P 0.05); After treatment, the blood glucose of the two groups reduced, compared with before treatment the difference was significant (P 0.05), and the treatment group compared with the control group reduced significantly (P 0.05). Conclusion: The intensive blood glucose can effectively control the blood glucose level and improve the QOL in patients with type 2 diabetes.
