Abstract

When sprayed twice, endosulfan 0.07% @ 500 1/ha left an average residue of 3.27 ppm after second spray in pigeonpea pods whereas 0.14% @ 500 1/h.a left a residue of 5.92 ppm. The residue reached below Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) of 2 ppm in 6 days in former and 9 days in the latter treatment. Monocrotophos at 0.04% and 0.08% @ 500 1/ha gave initial depostt& of 0.52.ppm and 1.01 ppm, respectively. The residues reached below MRL (0.2 ppm) in 6 days with 0.05% and 11 days in 0.8 vely.% conc. Pigeonpea grain at harvest in Kharif, 1984 and 1985 did not contain dete-ctable residues of endosulfan or monocrotophos.
