Abstract

In the construction of the Petromin east-west crude oil pipeline system several pipelining operations are progressing simultaneously, including clearing the right-of-way, ditching, pipe hauling, protective coating, and joining. The two parts of the pipe route construction are 12 to 15% complete. In addition to actual pipelaying operations, contractors are building access roads to the 11 pump stations, air strips for the three maintenance centers along the route, storage facilities, and terminal projects.
