Abstract
A trans Saudi Arabia pipeline, which has the design capacity to deliver 2.35 million barrels of crude oil daily, will connect the Ghawar oil fields in the east to the Red Sea port of Yanbu. The 747-mile long system of 48-inch diameter pipe is expected to be operational in 1981. The Petroline pipeline will be powered by 33 FT4A-9 gas turbine drivers, three at each of the pipelines 11 remote control stations. The gas turbines will burn either natural gas liquid or pipeline crude as fuel.
