Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the optimum extraction technology of total flavonoids from celery leaves by using Soxhlet extraction method,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of celery leaves.[Method] With the ethanol as the solvent,Soxhlet method was adopted to extract total flavonoids from celery leaves.Effects of ethanol concentration,extraction time,extraction temperature and solid-liquid ratio on the yield of total flavonoids were respectively investigated through the single-factor test.[Result] Factors that affected the yield of total flavonoids were in the order of ethanol concentration solid-liquid ratio extraction temperature extraction time.The optimum technology conditions of total flavonoids from celery leaves by using Soxhlet extraction method were as follows:ethanol concentration of 60%,extraction time of 1 h,extraction temperature of 70 ℃ and solid-liquid ratio of 1∶60.Under the optimum condition,the yield of total flavonoids was 47.85 mg/g.[Conclusion] The Soxhlet extraction method was available for extracting total flavonoids from celery leaves.
