Abstract

Sues for Fees details Gosford District Hospital Board decision to issue more than 300 summonses against former patients. Board Chairman (Mr R. G. Mathews) said that patients over the past four years owed the hospital ₤25,000. The board appointed a fee collection clerk and sent out over 2000 reminders. The hospital is sympathetic to people in financial difficulties and some cases have been reviewed. However there are a large amount of people making no effort to pay.
