Abstract
Patients Owe ₤25,000 to Gosford details the Hospital Boards action against former patients who owe the hospital ₤25,000. Board Chairman, Mr R. G. Mathews said the debt had accumulated over four years and in the last 12 months over 2000 reminders had been sent out. The hospital is sympathetic to those experiencing financial difficulties , and some cases are being reviewed. A full time fees collection clerk has be hired and the money will be used to decrease the hospital debt.
