Abstract
The rape seeds were sown in soils with different concentration of pyrene to study effects of pyrene on seed germination rate, growth and physiological characteristic of rape seedlings and to provide a reference for further research of its toxic mechanism and crop safe production. The results showed that pyrene had little effect on seed germination, and had significant inhibition effects on plant height, root length and leaf area of rape seedlings, the chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b content in leaves of rape seedlings treated with pyrene reduced significantly, and its MDA content,CMP and activity of SOD,POD and CAT indicated a trend of first rise and then drop.
