Abstract
A field experiment was conducted on wheat variety Malviya 468 under late sown condition in Randomized block design with four replications of Nitrogen of control (80, 120. 160 and 200 Kg. N/ha) with two sources prilled and modified urea. The observation were recorded on growth parameters yield attributes and grain and straw yield. Increasing nitrogen levels increased the plant height, tiller numbers/m leaf number/plant and dry matter accumulation upto 200 Kg N/ha which was significantly higher than control. Yield attributing characters viz. ear weight, grain number/ear test weight significantly increased with increasing nitrogen levels upto 200 Kg/ha but no significant difference was observed in ear length and spikelets ear'l. Increasing nitrogen levels beyond 80 kg/ha did not cause significant increase in grain and straw yield or wheat However, nitrogen treatment were significantly higher than control. Nitrogen Sources did not record significant difference with respect to growth Parameters, yield attributes and yield of wheat crop but modified Urea had slightly higher Values than that of Prilled Urea.
