Abstract
Post-emergence application of Man 77569 and glyphosate each at 1.8 and 3.6 kg ha−1 was equally effective in controlling weeds. Cotton yield increased significantly with two hand weedings done at 30 and 60 days after sowing over other treatments, only Man 77569 and glyphosate at 3.6 kg ha−1 could yield at par with two hand weedings. Competition with weeds in weedy plots caused 79.1% reduction in cotton yield.
