Abstract
Two parental-specific DNA bands S18_(750) and S31_(550) amplified with parental DNA pools of hybrid rapeseed 'Shuza No.9' by RAPD primers S18 and S31 were cloned and sequenced, respectively. Two pairs of primers SZ9SP1 and SZ9SP2 were designed according to the sequences of S18_(750) and S31_(550) and the parents SCAR-PCR markers were obtained. When the two pairs of designed primers were used to amplify DNAs of individual plant in F_1 hybrids,respectively,maternal/ paternalspecific band could be appeared in all F_1 hybrids, indicating that the SCAR markers could reliably be used to authenticate the hybrid seed lots of Shuza No.9.
