Abstract
The article focuses on the Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) that was published by the European Commission in April 2009. Topics discussed include litigation risks posed by the AIFMD, its detailed and prescriptive rules on how investment managers should manage their businesses and funds, and some provisions that revolutionises the relationship between a manager and its fund.
