Abstract

Construction of the second Gateway Bridge across the Brisbane River in Brisbane, Queensland is due for completion in May 2010. The bridge approaches either side of the main river span, consist of precast concrete box segments, constructed using a match casting process. The concrete box segments in the main span and either side of the main piers were cast in situ and post tensioned.
