Abstract
Based on the investigation and analysis of intercity passenger transportation market, the paper researched on some basic problems of intercity rail transit (IRT), such as the types of intercity train (IT), the ratio of carrying traffic, etc. The paper optimized the existing methods of train operating scheme (TOS), then brought up a new model to work out the scheme gradationally, taking Hu-Ning IRT in building as an example, which validated the model as a feasible and practical one.
