Abstract
US planned pipeline construction scheduled so far for 1976 totals 9249.29 miles (6217.29 miles for natural gas lines, 1478 for products lines, and 1554 for crude lines), with Canadian plans amounting to 3062.7 miles. The total; 12,311.99 miles, is a marked improvement over the 1975 figure of 7517.63 miles. Foreign pipeline construction is projected to increase significantly to 24,731.1 miles with 10,757.6 miles for natural gas lines, 9212 miles for products lines, and 4761.5 miles for crude lines. Major pipeline expansion programs and proposed oil and gas pipeline construction for 1976 are tabulated by company.
