Abstract
In order to investigate the suitable planting density for new maize variety Dekarl 008,four different planting densities were used in the experiment to analyze their effects on growth stage,disease resistance,agronomic traits and yield components,etc. The results indicated that,planting density had no obvious effects on the growth stage and resistance to disease,but significant on the yield. Under middle or higher soil fertility,the suitable planting density for Dekarl 008 was 52 500-60 000 plants /ha,and the best planting density was 57 000 plants /ha. When the planting density was over 60 000 plants /ha,the yield of Dekarl 008 decreased significantly.
