Abstract
The results from a comparison experiment with five treatments of planting methods for maize, show that the different planting methods affect the yields, ear and plant characters, distribution range and quantity of root system and leaf area variously. Of five planting methods, the cultivation of directive setting single seedling in doublerow style of widenarrow space intercropping ensured the best growth of maize plants along biological regularity. The yield of this planting method is up to 9313.5kg/ha, increasing by 59.29% compared with those of the other planting methods.
