Abstract

This paper reports on accomplishments achieved at a Federal Highway Administration Conference on Public - Private issues in Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS) Deployment. The focus of the conference was on deployment issues in Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS). The direction of three panel groups were in: 1) current U.S. and foreign experiences; 2) potential Public and private sector roles in IVHS deployment; and, 3) procurement issues.
