Abstract
This article illustrates the optimization of project duration by network planning technology in the progress of project management process when the calculated duration cannot meet the target schedule requirements. It proposed an innovative method which can reduce the project time with minimum direct cost increment. Different optimization ways have been studied and corresponding cost increments have been analyzed. The results indicate that the method is capable of using minimum cost to control the project schedule within the planning period.
