OBSERVATION ON THE THERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF MOXIBUSTION FOR TREATMENT OF PREGNANT VOMITING

Abstract

In the present observation,302 patients with pregnant vomiting were divided randomlyinto moxibustion group（n=151）and Chinese drug group（n=151）.In the former group,moxlbus-tlon was at Guanyuan（CV 4）and Sanyinjiao（SP 6）,etc,and In the later,Chinese drugs were giv-en according to differentiation of symptoms and signs and types of syndromes.Results show that outof the 151 cases of the former group, 146 (96.7%) are cured and 5 (3. 3 % ) improved; out of the 151cases of the Chinese drug group, 89 (58. 9% ) are cured and 62 (41. 1 % ) improved. Comparison be-tween the two groups in the cure rate shows a very significant difference (P <0. 0001 ), illustratingthat moxibustion therapy is superior to Chinese drug in treatment of pregnant vomiting.
