Abstract
Objective To explore hepatitis B virus carrier rate among employees in Hebi City,and to provide scientific basis for effective prevention and control.Methods HBsAg carrier rate for employees from 2004 to 2007 were analyzed.Results Among 16 928 persons examined,490 were HBsAg positive,with a positive rate of 2.89%.The positive rates were 2.72%,2.82%,3.71% and 2.49% respectively for year 2004-2007.The differences were significant among years(P0.01).Among 7 897 males tested,275 were HBsAg positive,with a positive rate of 3.48%.Among 9 031 females tested,215 were HBsAg posititve,with a positive rate of 2.38%.There was significant difference between genders(P0.01).There were not significant differences in HBsAg positive rates among different age groups(P0.05).Conclusion The HBsAg positive rate among employees was at low level in Hebi City.Health supervision as well as health examination for employees should be strengthened.
