Abstract

[Objective] The aim was to study on the extraction and content deter mination methods for total flavonoids from GINKGO FOLIUM.[Method] Both the ultrasonic extraction and Soxhlet extraction methods were studied and improved.Content of total flavonoids in extraction solution was deter mined by coloration method. The optimal extraction condition for the extraction of total flavonoids from GINKGO FOLIUM was deter mined by the single-factor test.[Result] The extraction rates of ultrasonic extraction and Soxhlet extraction methods were 0.83% and 1.10%,respectively.And the extraction rate of the combination of ultrasonic extraction and Soxhlet extraction was 1.37%.The optimum extraction condition was 20 min ultrasonic time,60% ethanol concentration,1∶50 solid∶liquid ratio, and heated refluxing for 2 h under 85 ℃.[Conclusion] The optimum extraction process for total flavonoids from GINKGO FOLIUM provided references for its further research and application.
